The Meneghetti Ol-Factory
WORK IN PROGRESS (Started in December 2025, due June 2026)
Villa Meneghetti: The Ol-Factory establishes a productive estate where scent is grown, processed, assembled, and preserved. Greenhouses cultivate the botanicals; distillation and maturation spaces extract essential oils; the perfume workshop composes fragrances; and the glassblowing studio uses recycled Murano glass to produce their containers. The architecture exposes the full perfume-making chain, transforming a typically opaque industry into a visible spatial sequence. The project operates as an olfactory archive: collecting, storing, and producing scent as cultural memory embedded in landscape and building, while opening the process to visitors through workshops, a public scent collection within the villa, and spaces to create individual perfumes.
